Welcome to Grand Odyssey, a site dedicated to everything travel and all things beautiful in between. My name is Mónica and I am the editor behind this travel blog. A travel agent with a passion for languages, travelling, nature, photography and writing. I am currently based in London but I have been a nomad for all my life.

Everybody has a particular travel style. I define myself as an eclectic traveller. It is for this reason you will find information about almost every aspect regarding travelling on this site. As I have lived most of my life in Spain, Macaronesia, Belgium, Switzerland, France, the USA and the British Isles, you will find comprehensive information based on my experience about these specific regions and other parts of the world I have visited.

In a world of deceit, photography is constantly pushing the barriers of reality. We are endlessly bombarded with beautiful images of the world that are highly processed, where colours are unrealistically saturated, elements changed or digitally painted, thus resulting in a capture that doesn't portray authenticity of the place we would like to visit. As an immigrant for half my life, seasoned traveller and experienced travel agent, I will offer you my expertise in not only travelling in the most efficient and affordable way, but also advice about off-the-beaten-track locations.
